Our Community Projects

Lymm Sanctuary Hub also provides admin, marketing and financial support to local community projects. Past and current examples include: LNOBIL, Ukraine English Classes and Warmer Spaces.

As well as providing a venue for private events, activities, courses and classes, Lymm Sanctuary Hub runs a number of its own community projects as well as partnering with and supporting other local organisations.

Our current projects include

Digital Café, LymmPaC (Parents & Carers), Memory Café, Singing for the Brain, Sanctuary Counselling Service, TLC (The Lymm Companions), Lymm Community Garden, LEAF (Lymm Environment Action Forum).

About Lymm Sanctuary Hub

Lymm Sanctuary Hub (LSH) is focused on providing a range of services and activities for the local communities of Lymm, Thelwall, Warburton and High Legh, particularly aimed at supporting individuals and families facing particular challenges.

Our current projects mostly focus on supporting people living with dementia, parents and carers of children with SEND, helping people with IT issues, and providing counselling and befriending services.  Each year we aim to help establish further projects, following engagement with our local community.

We also support other initiatives in Lymm, including Lymm Environmental Action Forum (LEAF), the Lymm Community Garden, the national Warm Spaces programme, and Santa to a Senior at Christmas time.

We owe a huge debt of thanks to those who have helped projects to take shape. Our trustees and project leaders right through to our wonderful volunteers. We have also been supported by funders such as Lymm Parish Council, The National Lottery and Cheshire Community Foundation and donations from a wide range of local organisations and individuals.

How we are run

The Lymm Sanctuary Hub Limited (LSH for short) is registered with the Charities Commission (number 1181812) and Companies House (number 08441190).

LSH is governed by a board of trustees and directors. They are members of the charity and donate their time, experience and expertise.

As a charity, LSH projects rely on volunteers to deliver our programmes; we currently have around 50 volunteers who help to support our community and inspire others to do the same.  LSH secured National Lottery Community funding in 2023, allowing it to employ three part time members of staff to support the community projects.

Lymm Business Centre Limited (LBC for short) is registered with Companies House (number 11480852). LBC employs 4 part-time members of staff to cover office admin, space hire bookings, finances and site management and marketing.
